Essential Maintenance: CrashPlan (Code42) backups, 04 March 2019, 14:00 - 15:00

Description of work:
We are reorganising one of our data centres on campus, and a few services will be unavailable for an hour.

Most systems affected by this work are backups of live services, so you won’t notice anything

However, won’t be available for an hour while we carry out this work.

04 March 2019, 14:00 - 15:00

What will you notice while this work is carried out?
If you use CrashPlan, you might notice that the icon on your computer changes to an “offline” icon and you will be unable to use the CrashPlan application. Once the work is complete, the CrashPlan application and backups will resume automatically.

Why are we doing this work?
This is part of ongoing work to prepare the University data centres for future upgrades.
