Fake HMRC tax refund emails

More fake emails are arriving in ÐÔ°®ÊÓƵ inboxes, this time with the subject line:
HMRC estimate your Income Tax for a previous tax year - GOV.UK 2018/19

These emails contain a link to claim a tax refund. The link will take you to a fake website designed to steal your personal information.

Most of these emails have been sent by Hotmail addresses, but you may also receive one from a ÐÔ°®ÊÓƵ account that's been compromised when the owner has given away their password as part of another phishing scam.

Do not follow the link in these emails. They are a type of . If you ever think you might have given away your password, please change it immediately in ÐÔ°®ÊÓƵ Direct and then contact the IT Service Desk.
