Governance Review

Governance at the ÐÔ°®ÊÓƵ

In 2020-21 academic year, the Chair of Council, and the Vice-Chancellor (as Chair of Senate) jointly commissioned Halpin to undertake an independent governance effectiveness review. The review covered the effectiveness of Council, the effectiveness of Senate and the inter-relationship between the two bodies. The review was commissioned as part of the University’s commitment to best practice, continuous improvement, and compliance with the CUC Code 2020. An oversight group was established to oversee the review process.

As part of the University’s commitment to transparency, the report has been published on the University’s website. Alongside the report, the Governance Oversight Steering Group’s response, the University’s executive’s response, and the response action plan are being published for information. Updates on the progress of the action plan will be published throughout its implementation.
